Plaiul Foii - Zărneşti is a beautiful tourist area located on the Bârsa valley at the foot of the imposing massive Piatra Craiului. Happy Visit! #libeartybearsanctuary #visitzarnesti Created in memory of the Maya bear, the Libearty Sanctuary is today home to over 100 brown bears, all rescued from a cruel and abusive life in captivity.  Recognized by many specialists as probably the best bear sanctuary in the world, Libearty covers an area of ​​69 hectares of lush forest, streams, and ponds located on the territory of Zarnesti, the municipality at the foot of the Carpathians, near the city Brasov.  Most bears in the reserve were rescued from the most miserable and tiny cages, being only a reason for "fun", tourist attraction. Many were confiscated from the terraces of restaurants, hotels, and boarding houses, but some of them were held captive near factories, gas stations, or even a monastery. Bears that lived in circuses also came to us.   Each bear or bear in the reserve has its own story full of drama. Please note that Libearty is a bear sanctuary, not a zoo. The Libearty Bear Sanctuary has been named by Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel site, Traveler's Choice for 2020!  The natural rock fortress of Pietra Craiului is unique among the mountains in our country. The specific landscape is characterized by a lonely ridge, which reaches a length of approximately 25 km and heights of over 2,000 meters. La Om peak (or Piscul Baciului) is the highest and measures 2,238 m. If we leisurely study the particularities of the massif, we will discover a great variety of relief shapes and sizes: rock corners, needles, pyramids, edges, towers, belts and chimneys. The large number of valleys, hollows, natural arches and alpine gaps complete the visual spectacle, along with particularly spectacular steeps. 1,170 plant species live here, almost 30% of the plants found in our country, of which 181 are protected. Among these species we mention only the most well-known ones: the carnation of Pietrei Craiului, the yew, the angelica, the blood of the strong, the yellow poppy, the linaria, the cornflower, the wild gladiolus, the bulbul and the mountain peony. Piatra Craiului harbors an impressive number of species of mountain orchids, 41 of the 58 existing in Romania. The climatic and geological conditions, the geomorphology and the structure of the flora and vegetation of Piatra Craiului have determined the preservation of a special diversity in the group of mammals. Muntele Bunloc/Bolnoc era principalul loc de promenadă pentru săceleni. Altitudinea maximă este de 1.185 m. În anul 1933 aici a fost construită prima trambulină de sărituri cu schiurile din România, pe o structură de lemn, un an mai târziu, în 1934, având loc și primul concurs. Până în 1989 aici exista și pârtie de schi foarte apreciată și căutată de localnici și brașoveni. Astăzi muntele Bunloc este una din zonele cele mai căutate și apreciate de parapantiști. În zonă există și un telescaun care deservește iubitorii de parapantă și pe cei care doresc să urce muntele fără efort. Din anul 2016 muntele Bunloc a devenit un loc apreciat și de alergătorii montani, aici având loc o probă de alergare montană pe verticală în cadrul unui festival de sporturi montane. La 1.000 m altitudine există și cabana Sava, unde se poate rămâne și peste noapte.

Munții Neamțului se întind între Săcele, Predeal, Azuga și Valea Doftanei, la sud de masivul Piatra Mare până la munții Baiului, la est de ei fiind munții Grohotiș. Cele mai înalte vârfuri sunt vf. Neamțului – 1923 m și vf. Paltinu 1900 m. Sunt munți accesibili, foarte căutați de pasionații de MTB, însă fără posibilități de cazare la cabane. Traseele cele mai accesibile pleacă din Azuga și Predeal și se îndreaptă spre vf Turcu, vf Paltinu și vf Neamțului. Munții Grohotiș urmează în bună parte vechea graniță dintre Imperiul Austro-Ungar și Țara Românească. Unele borne se mai pot vedea și astăzi. Cel mai înalt pisc este vf. Gropșoarele – 1.768 m. Este un munte cu culmi blânde, însă fără posibilități de cazare. Creasta lui, între Săcele și Slănic, se poate parcurge în aproximativ 3 zile, cu cortul. De aici izvorărește râul Târlung. Traseele pornesc din Săcele (Babarunca – valea Tărlung – vf Bobu Mare – vf Grohotiș, Brădet – valea Doftanei Transilvane, pasul Predeluș - muntele Văii Negre, pasul Bratocea – vf Bobul Mare – vf Grohotiș) și din localitățile Slănic și Tristeni din Prahova. La o distanţă de numai 1,5 km de Râșnov şi 7,5 km de Poiana Braşov, Peştera Valea Cetăţii (aflată în rezervaţia naturală cu același nume) este o atracţie turistică de excepţie aflată la doi paşi de Cetatea din Râşnov. Lăculeţele ce oglindesc formaţiuni enigmatice perfect modelate de apă şi aer înconjoară o impozantă sală Catedrală care, cu cei peste 30.000 de metri cubi ai săi, deschide ochilor un tavan de poveste cu volute şi arce de calcar de un alb cum rar poţi vedea în lume. Amenajată cu cele mai moderne tehnologii, peştera oferă un parcurs şi o iluminare ce face şi un claustrofob să uite de pereţii care-l înconjoară şi să se simtă într-un palat de cristal. Accesul se face din parcarea de pe drumul naţional Poiana Braşov-Râşnov după 450 de metri de parcurs relaxant cu piciorul prin carstul împădurit al rezervaţiei naturale Valea Cetăţii. Peștera de Gheață este considerată a fi cea mai importantă cavitate din Masivul Piatra Mare, fiind localizată în zona muntelui Gatul Chibei. Dezvoltată pe o fisura verticală, peștera are o deschidere de 50 m, cu orientare spre nord. În interiorul ei, temperatura este scazută pe toată perioada anului, existând uneori și zăpadă.
