The Brâncoveanu Monastery from Sâmbăta de Sus
The history of the monastery began in the seventeenth century. Important founders were Constantin Brâncoveanu, ruler of Wallachia between 1688-1714, and Metropolitan Nicolae Balan.
„Valea Zimbrilor” Reservation - Vama Buzăului
Cu o suprafaţă de 10 hectare de păşune şi autorități ce doresc accesarea fondurilor europene pentru lărgirea împrejmuirii cu încă 80 de hectare de pădure, alocate în acest sens de comuna Prejmer, Rezervaţia naturală Valea Zimbrilor este a patra din România. Planul celor care o administrează este ca în viitor să lase zimbrii în libertate, animalele urmând a fi incluse într-un program de repopulare a Munţilor Carpaţi.
Ridged by the Teutonic Knights, the Feldioara Fortress is the oldest fortification in Brasov County, being documented since 1225. At the time of its construction, it had strong walls and was the most important fortification in Transylvania.
The fortress guards can be seen each Saturday and Sunday at 11:00. This way the municipality tries to reinstate some of the medieval atmosphere at the fortress.
The basal columns of Racoș
The basalt columns from Racoş, from the beautiful gorge of Olt dug in the Perşani Mountains, impress with their height of 10-15 m. Nearby you can see a fragment of the volcanic edifice from where until recently basalt slag was mined.
The Delta of the Carpathians (Dumbrăvita - Rotbav - Magura Codla)
The reservation is located in the counties of Brasov and partly in Covasna, on the territories of Dumbrăviţa, Codlea, Holbav, Hălchiu, Feldioara, Măieruş, Belin, Hăghig. It is divided into three distinct areas, and has a total area of over 4,500 ha.
