TAMTAM Festival
About
TAMTAM Festival transforms for three days the Old Centre of Brasov and other interesting areas of the city into a huge cultural scene. There will be high-profile events that will bring together a large number of renowned artists from the national and local scene, both in the squares and streets of the city as well as in classical spaces or unconventional places.
TAMTAM means music, theatre, dance, film and visual arts, flash-mob surprises, it is the place where various forms of artistic expression come together to create new experiences. The spectator is part of the performance, intervening in the unfolding of high-level cultural and social events, where everyone feels that the festival is for them, for the community.
If in the first edition in 2019 we gathered over 350 artists involved in 110 unique events that took place in 11 distinct locations watched by around 60,000 spectators, in 2020 we managed to organize a second edition certified by Dekra Romania "Covid-safe" despite the vicissitudes created by the health situation, in 2021 we managed to come back in force with productions of the highest level on open-air stages in the city center and at the AFI Mall, in 2022 we intend to continue the process of cultural and social emancipation of the city, of educating a new public through programmes which, although diverse in approach and content, are concluded in a coherent concept that will take into account possible health restrictions.
