Erdélyi Kárpát-Egyesület [EKE] 1891-ben alakult szervezet. A Brassó Vármegyei osztály 1893 október 29-én szerveződött. 1992-ben, a rendszerváltás után újraalakult, Kolozsvári központtal és 2006 május 25-én önálló jogi személyiség lett, EKE BRASSÓ néven - 15 lelkes alapítótaggal, akik az EKE szellemiségét, hagyományát tovább akarják adni a Jövő Nemzedékének. Hármas célkitűzése: természetjárás, honismeret, természetvédelem. Mission * a természeti és az épített környezet értékeinek tudatosítása és megőrzése; * menedékházak létesítése; * az ifjúság természet- és környezettudatos nevelése; * az ökoturizmus támogatása; * a fizikai erőnlét, lelki egyensúly, életképesség, önuralom és csapatszellem fejlesztése; * hagyományőrzés. Company Overview Az Erdélyi Kárpát-Egyesület 1891. május 12-én alakult meg Kolozsváron. Jelen pillanatban 16 tagszervezettel működik. Tagjainak száma közel 2000, az ország legnagyobb turistaszervezete. Description Az EKE hetente szervez gyalogtúrákat, újra meg újra bejárva a kitaposott ösvényeket Erdély csodálatos tájain és külföldön egyaránt. A honismereti túrák alkalmával a történelem jelentős helyszíneit keressük fel. Téli sítábor, vetélkedők, túravezetés, teljesítménytúrák, tájékozódási versenyek teszik változatossá egész éves programkínálatunkat, amely megtalálható honlapunkon. Évente megszervezett programjaink: Kiértékelő Turista bál, Farsang, Zöld Karácsony, Világjárók. 2012 márciusában elinditottuk a Brassói Lapok szerkesztőjével, Ambrus Attilával az ENCIÁN-Brassói természetjárók folyóiratát.
