Point & Shoot Brașov workshop registration

One World Romania – The International Festival of Documentary Film and Human Rights and the association of the same name organize Point & Shoot, a documentary film workshop dedicated to young people from Brașov between the ages of 14 and 19.

👉📸 About the workshop 📸👈

The workshop will last 5 days and will take place between October 7 and 11, 2024, at the Multicultural Center of Transilvania University, Bd. Eroilor, no. 29, Brașov.

Reservation deadline: September 19.

The workshop will be coordinated by two filmmakers with experience in the field of documentary film: Andreea Lăcătuș, director of the One World Romania festival and director of the short film "Entre marginile zilei", selected at the Sarajevo Film Festival, TIFF and nominated for the Gopo Awards, and Simona Constantin, producer of film and cultural events, but also documentary film directors and television productions. Both have extensive experience in working with young people and in educational projects.

The workshop continues the theme of this year's One World Romania festival – Choose!, urging teenagers to choose how they look at the images that surround them, in a non-competitive format, within the activity teamwork, curiosity and self-knowledge through dialogue are encouraged.

Point & Shoot is for you if you want to understand why certain images have an impact on you or create images that convey a message; if you have a passion for movies and want to discover other perspectives on them; if you are a person who asks questions and want to practice your courage to speak in public; if you feel that you are attracted to the topics related to many human rights or the documentary film and want to know more about them.

The trainer-designed program prompts you to discover stories to share with others through film. You will participate in field shooting and editing exercises as part of your follow-up, you will practice your full ability to and speak with empathy to those around you.
