Recent, complexul Sportiv de la Cheile Grădiștei Fundata a devenit un punct de atracție și pentru cicliștii profesioniști, grație traseului de XCO amenajat aici cu ocazia primului Campionat European de ciclism organizat în România, între 8 și 12 mai. Ce înseamnă acest eveniment pentru ciclismul din România, pentru județul Brașov și pentru turismul din România? We are a small group of professional guides-riders, living in the very heart of Romania. We spend every day in the mountains, riding, discovering and marking new trails to share with others like us. With us, being on the best trail is just a part of the experience: we will teach you all there is to know about the places we visit. Our tours are half sport/half cultural&learning experience. Every day is different and it includes : -the best urban experience: visiting pitoresque cities and surroundings for lunch, dining, even some nice night-life -visiting historical spots and hearing the real story. -camping in the wild (don't freak, we know the places by heart and we can cook) -riding the best trails only locals would know. And some parks, but just the best ones! We treat riding responsibly. Daily guided tours with our CUBE mountain bikes In this tour, we connect by bicycle one of the most important touristic points from the area, like Bran Castle with Râșnov fortress, or Bear Sanctuary with Vulcan village. These tours are available for groups of friends, or for families who are used to pedal and want to discover by bicycle the charming area of Zărnești, Bran, and Râșnov. *Version A - a departure from our „Rent a Bike” center Zărnești-Bear’s Sanctuary (optional)-Vulcan-Poiana Mărului- Zărnești Transfer by car for 15 minutes. The tour starts from Bear’s Sanctuary with an optional visit here. We’ll continue to pedal on green single tracks through oak forests, mostly down. Before riding down to Vulcan village is a lake, the perfect place to have a snack. Is time to admire the view with Bucegi and Postavaru mountains in front and colorful scattered houses on rolling hills. From Vulcan, we’ll pedal up on a remote asphalted road until Holbav village. We’ll pedal mostly down on a valley where the locals are working their lands. We’ll come back to Zărnești on an asphalted road along the river. Technical details: 38 km with 470m+ *Version B - a departure from our „Rent a Bike” center Zărnești -  Rasnov fortress - Bran Castle – Zărnești Transfer by car from Zărnești to Râșnov fortress. A visit here is possible. We’ll cross by bicycle Râșnov village and follow along the remote road on a valley for half-hour. We’ll enter the forest and ride up on a dirt road admiring the impressive views of Sohodol mountain village and part of Branului country. The downhill to Bran castle is the highlight of the day. A visit here is possible. The last part of the tour is on a flowing asphalted road that connects Bran with Zarnesti, through two small traditional villages. Technical details: 20 km with 300m+ , or 30 km with 550m+ 2. Daily guided trekking tours - a departure from our „Rent a Bike” center You have the opportunity to discover places which are not so known and not crowded at all. Places with views like postcards and where you’ll find tranquility and peace. Our local guides we’ll lead you on a hilly ridge, a remote area where few locals decided to don’t leave their lands for better and easier living conditions. They are still working their fields with horses and with their own hands in order to keep traditions and minimalist life. Getting started in skiing or snowboarding can be done at any age, from 3 to 70 years old!We will overcome the technical barriers together, but also the natural fears of a new sport. INITIATING - getting used to skis or the snowboarding, base position (varying by age!), Sliding and braking skills, bypassing other participants and bypassing with the snowboard holding the instructors hand, snowboarding using cable transport, balance improvement, speed adjustment. Before moving to Intermediate level, you must be able to go down Drumul Rosu sloap on your own, finishing the turns with parallel skis . IMPROVEMENT - we evolve from plow to turn with parallel skis, respectively from hand turns with the instructor to the autonomous ones on the snowboard.
