Archery at Râşnov Citadel

Archery Kyudo is practiced as a method of psychological, moral and spiritual development. It is said that a successful shot in the archery is not only that which touches the target at its center, but that which is said to be in the middle of the target before it was pulled. Archery is also practiced in Rasnov (Peasant Fortress).
 
Kyudo means the Arc Way and is considered by many to be the purest of all martial arts. In the past, the Japanese bow was used for hunting, fighting, court trials, games, and skill games.
 
Essence kyudo can be said to be synonymous with the search for truth, goodness and beauty.
