In Transylvania, schnaps is a german liqueur that competes with other traditional alcoholic beverages such as tuica, palinca or vinars. This beverage was brought by german settlers and by the top units of the Austrian and Hungarian armies and found its place since the XVIII - XIX centuries on the tables of the most wealthiest citizens of the medieval cities in Transylvania. Rosenauer Schnaps is developed with our german partners that have over 50 years of experience in fruit distilling, following an old recipe with origins somewhere on the left side of the Rhine river, kept by the followers of the saechsischen colonists.
