About

The Romanian Orthodox Church Codlea, with the patronage of the 'Ascension of God", is the first Orthodox church in Codlea and was built in 1783.

Until its foundation, the faithful gathered in a chapel. They also had a cemetery, as evidenced by a cross that dates back to 1726 and now stands in the courtyard of the church in front of the linden, which was planted in 1783.
