  • The National Tourist Information and Promotion Center in Zarnesti provides local, regional, and national tourist information.
  • Opened in March 2016, the National Center for Tourist Information and Promotion in Zarnesti has as main objectives the promotion and enhancement of the heritage tourism in Zarnesti destination, as well as informing the visitors about the tourist offer in the area - tourist attractions, accommodation, restaurants, leisure activities, events, activities that can be practiced in the area, maps and tourist trails.
  • Annually, approx. 7000 tourists arrive at the tourist office, the busiest being the summer season, followed by the autumn season. As a reference, in 2019 the number of tourists arrived increased by approx. 54% compared to 2016 (the year of the inauguration of the Tourist Information Center).
  • The most popularr tourist attractions are: Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Piatra Craiului National Park with Zărneștilor Gorges - Curmătura Chalet, but also Plaiul Foii area. Also, in addition to Romanian visitors, most foreign tourists (over 60% of visitors) come from countries such as: Germany, Israel, Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium or France.
